Terms of Service

By inviting Schematic-inator to a Discord server or using its commands, you agree to these terms and to Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

Schematic-inator renders D2 diagram scripts you provide into PNG images and posts them back to the channel. It's provided as-is, free of charge, as a personal open-source project — see the case study for how it works.

Don't use the bot to render content that violates Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines, including illegal, abusive, or harassing content. Whoever operates a given instance may remove the bot from a server or block abusive use at their discretion.

The bot is provided without warranties of any kind. Rendering can fail, time out (renders are capped at 20 seconds), or come out visually imperfect — resvg falls back to a system font instead of D2's embedded one. Availability isn't guaranteed: a self-hosted instance can go offline at any time.

To the extent permitted by law, the bot's operator isn't liable for any damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the bot.

Schematic-inator is open-source. Anyone can deploy their own instance under their own Discord bot token, subject to Discord's developer terms; these terms describe use of a given deployment, not one centrally-operated service.

These terms may change as the bot evolves. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
